IEEPA Tariffs on All USMCA
Imports From Mexico and Canada Suspended

March 6, 2025

In two Executive Orders (Executive Order 14193-Canada, and Executive Order 14194-Mexico) published March 6, 2025, President Trump amended the IEEPA tariffs by removing the 25% tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico that qualify for USMCA. These tariff exemptions will not be retroactive according to the White House, so any duties already paid since Tuesday will not be refunded to companies. This change is effective at 12:01am on March 7.

Reports are that the reprieve will last through April 2, 2025, but the Executive Orders did not state an official end date.
