China Section 301 Exclusions
Extended for Medical Devices

On Friday, March 5, 2021, the Office of the United States Trade Representative published notice that Section 301 exclusions would be extended for the 99 medical care and/or COVID response products until September 30, 2021.The applicable HTS numbers and descriptions were originally published in 85 FR 85831 of 12/29/2020, in Annexes A, B, C, and D.

This extension is effective for goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 am April 1, 2021 and before 11:59 pm EST on September 30, 2021. The Chapter 99 headings of 9903.88.62, 9903.88.63, 9903.88.64 and 9903.88.65, HTSUS, will not change (per the USTR published notice of March 5, 2021).
