With a 3-day countdown the USTR in its pre-publication notice of August 28th announced it will officially publish on August 30 the following:
According to the USTR pressrelease of August 23, on October 1, 2019 lists 1, 2 and 3 tariffs will increase from 25% to 30%. The USTR noted it anticipates a notice and comment period on this proposed increase. A reminder that exclusion requests for List 3 products can filed up until September 30, 2019. It is anticipated that exclusion requests will be available for List 4A and 4B. The USTR will publish information in the Federal Register as additional details are available.
