George Tuttle will speak at the session Understanding US Re-exports  & Exporting To the Cloud (Do you know where your data is?).

The United States maintains jurisdiction over the reexport/transfer of U.S. products and technology to third countries. This session will review U.S. rules related to the reexport or transfer of U.S. products and technology to third countries, including U.S. products, technology and software incorporated into foreign made end-products. Attendees will learn when products remain under U.S. control, when the de minimis rule applies, and when permissive re-export authorization applies. The session will focus on goods and technology under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the U.S Office of Foreign Assist Controls (OFAC) related to sanctioned countries.
